About me
After attending only two Pilates classes, I fell completely in love with this method of exercise as it relaxes my mind while working my body. The perfect combination.
Although I love to participate in many sports and activities, such as swimming, kayaking, running and yoga, I feel Pilates gives my body what it needs while my mind rests. Having practiced Pilates for over seven years, in 2013 I decided to take the step to become a qualified Pilates instructor. Six months, 120 hours and three trips to London later, I have since become a fully qualified Body Control Instructor and absolutely love it! Working in an desk-based job, I continue to practice Pilates to maintain a positive work / life balance and to gain maximum health benefits no matter where I am or what I am doing. I have realised how valuable Pilates is for maintaining and achieving the best level of health and fitness for life in general, work related health and supporting all leisure pursuits. Focusing upon posture, stability, and core strength, my passion is now to inform others of Pilates and allow for them to see the huge advantages it brings regardless of age, stage or fitness level. I taught classes several times a week at Gill Webster Bodywork - my inspirational Pilates teacher studio in Bridge of Allan, Scotland - before moving to Canmore, Alberta in February 2014 for 18 months. Now that I have returned to Scotland I am delighted to announce that I will be starting classes in Bridge of Allan once again and will be opening the studio doors to pregnant women and new mums with a new block of antenatal and postnatal classes! I love teaching Pilates and cannot help but be pleased when watching my clients develop week after week and continue to get stronger. |
